The choice of wedding caterer is probably the most important decision to be made in regards to your big day. Get it right and you will have your guests talking about it for a long, long time - get it wrong and it can be a major cause for embarrassment. Firstly, some venues have their own catering team, this can be a good thing in so much as they are used to the venue but can also be a bad thing as the caterer may become complacent because you do not have a choice. There are genrally two types of catering available: the seated three course traditional wedding breakfast and the more informal buffet style. On average the three course reception will cost between £25 and £35 per head all inclusive, whereas the buffet style can start at anywhere form £6.50 upto £25 depending on the fayre required. It is always a good idea to ask a caterer for any references.
