Wedding Photography and Video
Choosing a photographer or videographer for your wedding is one of the most crucial decisions you will have to make, when the wedding over you will want something to remind you of your wonderful day. A photograph is a point in time capture of the special times we share - the very last thing you want is those reminders to be below par. Video even more so, you do not want to gathered around the television watching an embarrassing B movie - with you and your loved one as the stars.
When choosing your wedding photographer or wedding videographer one of the first things to take into consideration is the personality of the people involved either taking the photos or shooting the video - you have to remember that these will be mingling in an around your guests, so the last thing you want is for the photographer/videographer to be a grumpy or moody chap, it can spoil your wedding day. Good advise is to have a shortlist of professionals that you have discovered or been recommended and arrange a meeting, you will probably decide within the first thirty seconds if you want to bestow the responsibility and honour of recording the most significant day of your life onto this person.
Once you have gotten through the personality barrier you will need to look at the portfolio of the supplier. You may find that certain photographers and videographers have a certain style that consistently runs through their work - this is fine is you want a standard service, but what if you want something unique can they adapt, these are question that you should be asking.
Technical ability is something else you will need to bring into the equation, do they use old school technology or are they au fait with the latest gizmos and computer produced imaged and software. You can probably judge this by visiting their website. If they do not have a website leave well alone...a Photographer/videographer without a website!!!!
Price is probably of least concern, photography and ideography in the wedding industry is very competitive and so most will offer a similar rate. If someone on your shortlist is offering a ridulously cheap price then hopefully alarm bells will ringing, similarly, too expensive you have ask yourself what on earth are they offering that the others are not and do I really need it.
